Excellent location qualities

Costa Rica, located between the 8th and the 11th parallel North enjoys a tropical climate. Moderate temperatures can be expected, slightly higher on the Pacific side than on the Atlantic. The average annual temperature is 24°C. There is no spring or autumn, but only summer (“verano”) and winter (“invierno”). Summer is also called the dry season and lasts from December to April (main tourist season). Winter with its monsoon rains lasts from May to November. In fact, the temperature difference between day and night is greater than that between summer and winter. The warmest months are March, April and May, while the wettest are September and October, when rainfall amounts to between 1500 mm and 6000 mm. However, even during the rainy season, it does not rain all day and every day. The rain usually begins in the early afternoon on the central plateau, reaching the Pacific coast by the late afternoon.
